Club de Golf Peralada was designed by Robert von Hagge and opened in 1993. It is set within the grounds of the Peralada Castle estate — a medieval complex that includes a castle, a winery, a casino, and a luxury hotel — in the heart of the Empordà wine country near Girona on the Costa Brava.
The course plays to 6,350 yards from the championship tees and is characterised by its rolling parkland terrain, the vineyards and olive groves that frame many of the holes, and the extraordinary backdrop of the medieval castle that is visible from much of the course. The combination of the historic setting, the natural landscape, and the quality of the design creates an experience that is unlike anything else in Spanish golf.
